ANR Transform Convert
Collapses a chain of CornerPins and Transforms into one CornerPin, Tracker or Transform keyed on every frame, or its inverse.
- Convert
- Trackers pack
- 1 input
- 9 controls
Overview
Transform Convert reads every CornerPin and Transform above it, frame by frame, and hands the whole chain back as a single node. Copy CornerPin is always exact: the format's four corners pinned to where the chain puts them. Copy Tracker makes a Tracker whose four tracks are those corners. Copy Transform makes one Transform (translate, rotate, scale and skew about the format's centre), exact when the chain has no perspective and otherwise the closest fit.
Use it to tidy a stack of corrections into one node, to turn a CornerPin into tracks for another tool, or to get the opposite move: Invert turns a match-move into a stabilise and back.
The picture passes through untouched. In the viewer the node draws where the chain puts the format's frame.
Inputs
- Sourcerequired
The bottom of the chain you want to convert. The node follows this input upwards through CornerPin and Transform nodes.
Output. The picture from above, untouched, with the format's frame as the chain moves it drawn in the viewer (a square marks the bottom-left corner).
Quick start
- Add ANR Transform Convert directly under the last CornerPin or Transform of your chain.
- Check the frame drawn in the viewer: it should move the way your chain moves the picture.
- Set Frame Range, and tick Invert if you want the opposite move.
- Press Copy CornerPin, Copy Tracker or Copy Transform, click in the Node Graph and press Ctrl+V.
- After Copy Transform, read Status: if the chain has perspective, it says how many pixels the corners are off.
The panel
The node's panel as Nuke shows it, with the values of a new node. Click any control to see what it does; tabs and sections work as in Nuke.

tfInvert Hand back the opposite move: a match-move becomes a stabilise and back.

- Copy CornerPinButton
tfCopyCornerPin The whole chain as one CornerPin2D (exact), on the clipboard: paste (Ctrl+V).
- Copy TrackerButton
tfCopyTracker A Tracker4 with the format's four corners as tracks, moved by the chain: paste (Ctrl+V).
- Copy TransformButton
tfCopyTransform The chain as one Transform (exact without perspective; otherwise the closest, and the Status says how far off): paste (Ctrl+V).
Tips
- When the chain has perspective, use Copy CornerPin: a Transform cannot hold perspective, a CornerPin can.
- Dots, colour corrections, Shuffles, Crops and similar nodes between the transforms are passed over, so you do not need to rearrange the tree.
- The pasted node's label lists the nodes it was made from.
Good to know
- Only CornerPin, Transform and TransformMasked nodes are read. The walk up the tree stops at the first node that is not one of those or a simple pass-through node.
- Time nodes in the chain (TimeOffset, FrameRange, Retime) are passed over without shifting time: every transform is read on the same frame.
- The new node is baked and not linked to the chain. Copy again after the chain changes.
