Overview
ANR License is where you activate ANR Tools. Paste the licence key from your purchase email into Licence Key and press Activate: the licence for this computer comes from the ANR licence service and is saved. Every ANR node it covers is licensed from then on.
Status lists the licences on this computer and where each ANR product you have used stands: licensed, or in its trial.
Every tool runs in full for 7 days from the first time you use an ANR node, with nothing to sign up for and no internet needed. After that, Nuke still opens your scripts, but the output of every ANR node carries a watermark (picture and alpha) and the nodes' buttons are off, until you activate a licence.
The licence on your computer lasts up to 30 days and renews while your subscription is paid: about two weeks before it ends, the tools fetch the next one by themselves, in the background, the first time you use them each day. Renew Now does it at once. Only the licence is asked for: your shots and scripts never leave your computer.
Inputs
- Sourceoptional
Not needed. Anything connected passes through untouched.
Output. The input, untouched. The node only shows and manages the licence.
Quick start
- Add ANR License. It needs no input.
- Paste the licence key from your purchase email into Licence Key.
- Press Activate. Status says the licence is activated and who it is licensed to.
- A frame already in the viewer keeps its watermark until it renders again: change a knob on the node, or press F12.
- Delete the node when you are done: the tools do not need it to stay licensed.
The panel
The node's panel as Nuke shows it, with the values of a new node. Click any control to see what it does; tabs and sections work as in Nuke.

- Renew NowButton
licRenew Ask the website for this machine's subscription licences again now. They also renew by themselves in the days before they end.
- Open Licence FolderButton
licOpenFolder The folder licences are saved in. A .lic file dropped in it counts.
Tips
- Lost the licence? Activate the same key on the same computer again: you get the licence again without using another activation.
- If the licence came as a .lic file, choose it in or Licence File and leave Licence Key empty, or drop the file into the folder Open Licence Folder opens.
- Copy Machine ID puts this computer's ID on the clipboard, ready to paste into an email.
- Refresh reads the licences again, for example after you put a .lic file in the licence folder.
- Without opening Nuke,
ANRLicense.exein thetoolsfolder of the install folder does the same from a command prompt:ANRLicense.exe activatefollowed by your key, renew, idandstatus. - Nothing you type into the node is saved with the script, so a key never travels with a script you send.
Good to know
- Activating with the key from your email, and Renew Now, need an internet connection. The trial needs none.
- Reinstalling Windows gives the computer a new Machine ID. To move a licence to another computer, write to support with your licence key and both Machine IDs.
- A render machine needs no ANR License node: a .lic file in its licence folder, or named in the
ANR_LICENSEenvironment variable, licenses it. See Help, Render farms.
